Digital Card

One link that does everything a paper card does, except it never runs out, never goes out of date, and saves straight into a customer’s phone. It lives on your own .com that you own, and it opens with a tap.

  • Live in a day or two
  • Your own .com
  • No app needed

What’s included

Everything in a Digital Card.

  • Your card, designed for you. Your colours, your photo, and buttons to call, text, email, get directions and follow your links.
  • Your own .com, first year included. It’s yours. I register it and handle the renewals so it never lapses, and I transfer it to you whenever you ask.
  • One-tap save to contacts. Your details go into their phone, not onto a napkin.
  • A QR code. For the counter, the window, or the back of a paper card.
  • Changeable after it’s handed out. The address stays the same, so everyone who has it sees the new version.
  • Tested on real phones. An iPhone and an Android, every button, before it’s yours.

Why a range? A card with your details and a handful of links sits near $150. More links, a flip, music, a photo that spins, a little game: those move it toward $250. The number is fixed in writing before I start.

Is it right for you?

Who it’s for.

A good fit if

  • You hand out your number all day
  • You want the smallest possible first step
  • You’d like to try working with me before a website

How it works

From hello to handed over.

  1. Tell me what goes on it

Your details, your links, a photo if you want one, and the .com you’d like.

  2. I build it

Usually within a day or two of hearing from you.

  3. You check it on your phone

Tap every button. Tell me anything that’s wrong.

  4. It goes live on your .com

With a QR code, and a band or tap sticker if you added one, programmed and tested.

Questions

The ones people ask.

Something else? Ask me directly.

Do I really own the .com?

Yes. I register it and look after the renewals so it never lapses, and the agreement you sign says it’s yours. Ask, and I transfer it into your own account, at no charge.

What does it cost after the first year?

$25 to $40 a year keeps the .com and the card online. If you’re on Keep It Current, it’s already covered.

Do I need the wristband?

No. Your card opens from the QR code or a texted link on its own. The NFC wristband is a $50 add-on, and an NFC sticker or tap card is a cheaper way to get the tap.

Does the person I give it to need an app?

No. The card is a web page. It opens in their browser and saves to their contacts.

Can I change what’s on it later?

Yes. Send me the change. The address doesn’t move, so everyone who already has your card sees the new details.

Can this lead to a website?

That’s the idea. With the Handshake, if you go ahead with a Storefront within sixty days, what you paid for the card comes off it, and the site goes on the same .com.
